The 1950s were marked by the change of the epicenter of contemporary
art from Europe to the United States. In this three-class-course, we will see
the emergence of new and groundbreaking art movements in the US after
World War II and the emergence of abstract expressionism, with artists
such as Jack Pollock, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler,
and many others!
