itk_Artsy: Introduction to Brazilian Art History, with Julia Lima
The course presents an introduction to artistic production in Brazil, from academicism through modernism to the art of the 1980s.
It includes four theoretical classes and two visits to museums and exhibitions to study relevant art works and discuss the production of visual art from the period covered.
The course is introductory and will address some crucial moments in Brazilian art, marked by structural changes in the market and the production of art itself.
